Bail Cancellation Appeal filed by the father of nine-year-old boy Ali, allegedly beaten to death by a teacher, has been upheld by Uttarakhand High Court. Notably, the order was passed by the Additional Sessions Judge of Roorkee at Haridwar, who dismissed the bail cancellation appeal in the case.
Sufyan, the petitioner and father of the child, stated that his son was mercilessly thrashed by the school teacher Mohammad Jeeshan because he had bought the school uniform from somewhere else instead of from Rahmania Inter College of Bhagvanpur in Haridwar, where he was studying. Case was registered against Jeeshan on December 14, 2022, under section 304 (Culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of I.P.C. Ali’s grandfather Naseem told the Press that the boy was bleeding profusely when he was taken to a Saharanpur’s hospital, from where he was referred in critical condition to P.G.I. Chandigarh, where he died during treatment on December 13, 2022.
