DEHRADUN, Mar. 16, 2023 (TBINN) Uttarakhand’s Bhartiya Janta Party’s president Mahendra Bhatt has welcomed Uttarakhand’s the Budget for 2023-24, saying it will pave the way for a self-reliant state.
It will create self-employment opportunities for the youth, Bhatt said in a statement. With its emphasis on self-employment, tourism, agriculture and women, the Budget will steer Uttarakhand on the path of becoming a self-reliant and a leading state of this decade, he said.
An annual Budget of Rs 77,407.08 crore for 2023-24 was presented in the Uttarakhand Assembly in Gairsain on Wednesday with state government saying it has focus on the development of Education and Health Infra-structure, Youth, Women and Children wWelfare.
The state B.J.P. president also expressed satisfaction over the allocation of Rs 1,000 crore for land subsidence-hit Joshimath and other such places.
