AMID PROTESTS IN MANIPUR, C.M. N. BIREN SINGH TALKS OF NABBING PERPETRATORS

NEW DELHI, Sep. 27, 2023 (TBINN)

Manipur which witnessed violence after the alleged killing of two students who went missing in July, 2023.l, once again faces public uproar.

Amid protests, state’s Chief Minister N. Biren Singh reacted and assured that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.

Just two days after mobile internet services were restored in the state, photos of the dead bodies of two students from Meitei Community surfaced online. The students went missing on July 6, 2023. The incident sparked massive outrage across the country and within Manipur it led to protests by students and locals.

Amid fresh tensions, Manipur C.M. N. Biren Singh tweeted, “In light of the distressing news that emerged yesterday regarding the tragic demise of the missing students, I want to assure the people of the state that both the state and Central Government are closely working together to nab the perpetrators.”
