PRAYAGRAJ, Jul. 26, 2023 (TBINN) Allahabad High Court today extended the stay on survey of Gyanvapi Mosque premises by the Archaeological Survey of India till Thursday.
High Court was hearing a plea against a Varanasi District Court’s order directing the A.S.I. to conduct a survey to determine if the Gyanvapi Mosque was built upon a temple.
During the hearing, a senior A.S.I. official was present in the court. Official told the court that the A.S.I. Team was not going to destroy the structure (mosque) in any way.
