A record jump has been reported in India for its single-day tally of COVID cases today with 4,435 fresh CORONA patients in the last 24 hours. Now the active case-load stands at 23,091.
India yesterday registered 3,038 cases. Tuesday’s tally of 3,038 infections was a slight dip from the day before when India registered 3,641 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, a day after logging its highest single-day tally in six months with over 3,800 cases.
Tally of today is the highest single-day jump in cases since September last. A total of 4,777 cases were recorded on September 25 last year. The death toll increased to 5,30,916 with 15 deaths in the last 24 hours, Union Health Ministry said.
