India has logged 841 new cases of COVID-19, the highest in 227 days, while the number of active cases of the infection have been recorded at 4,309, Union Health ministry said today.
Three new fatalities due to COVID in India have been reported in a span of 24 hours, according to Union Health Ministry today.
India had recorded 865 new days on May 19.
Nevertheless, Hospitality Sector players are cashing in on the New Year festivities as high spirits of celebrations are leading to a surge in dining out and bookings in resort destinations, with news of COVID-19 resurgence not denting the festive sentiment.
Reportedly, some players said they have witnessed room for revenue growth of 19 per cent in the year-end compared to the same period last year.
