UTTAR PRADESH GOVERNMENT MAKES FACE SAVING EFFORT IN CUSTODIAL DEATH!

LUCKNOW, Oct. 28, 2024 (TBINN)

In a seemingly effort of face saving by Bhartiya Janta Party Government in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today met the family members of trader Mohit Pandey who died in police custody due to alleged assault and announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for them, officials said.

The state government will also take care of education expenses of the children of deceased, officials added.

Notably, Mohit Pandey (aged 30) died on Saturday after being allegedly beaten by police personnel following his arrest in connection with a case, according to his family.
