Reportedly, a drunken driver, D.P. Chamoli, who happens to be Block Development Officer of Jakhnidhaar Block knocked down a woman and her two niece here.
The incident happened when D.P. Chamoli couldn’t control the car at high speed in Boradi. After the accident, official was taken into custody by the police as woman died on the spot, whereas, the two girls succumbed to injury during treatment.
On getting information of the accident on Nagar Palika Road, crowd gathered at local police station to seek strict action against the guilty driver.
Deceased woman has been identified as Rani Negi, aged 36 years while identity of her two niece has been established as Agrima (aged 10 years) and Anvita (aged 7 years).
