Today under the aegis of Uttarakhand Police (Vigilance Department), a Debate Program was organized by Institute of Technology and Management, Dehradun, at its campus. Topic of the debate happened to be Anti-Corruption with India hosting G20, 2023, as a backdrop.
Chief Guest at the program was Superintendent of Police (Vigilance) Dhirender Singh Gunjyal, Guests of Honour were Deputy Superintendent of Police Surender Singh Sawant and Inspector Kiran Aswal who lit the lamp.
Students from different streams of I.T.M. College, Dehradun, participated in the program with great enthusiasm and sense. The oration and arguments amongst students displayed high level of teaching and grooming at I.T.M. Dehradun which is personally supervised by College Chairman Nishant Thapliyal.
Students were of the view that Corruption acts as a serious impediment in the growth of country. Whereas, some of the students set ebbing away of society from moral values responsible for Corruption in the country.
At the end of program, on the basis of points given to participating students by the panel of judges, Samridhhi Chettri, Tanya Singh and Taranpreet Kaur were adjudged first, second and third respectively. All these three winners will have a chance to participate in the G20 Meeting at Hrishikesh.
In the program, among others, prominent were directors of college Sunil Sethi, Dr Bhatt, Principal Dr Anju Gairola, H.R. Head Aisha Dhyani, H.O.D. Management Parul Goel and H.O.D. Mass Communication Priyank.
