Uttarakhand Government has decided that outsiders purchasing property in the hill state need to submit a written declaration to the administration about the purpose for purchasing land by them.
Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami gave an order regarding this in a high level meeting today. In the meeting, C.M. directed the officers that they should ensure compliance of law and order in the hill state.
Pushkar said that verification of people residing in Uttarakhand should be done. He also ordered that outsiders purchasing land in Uttarakhand should provide details of their criminal record in the declaration. On a stern note, Chief Minister said that the people with criminal record should be identified and strict action should be taken against them.
Pushkar warned that those responsible for spoiling law and order situation in Uttarakhand will not be spared.
