The Met office here issued an ‘orange’ warning today for heavy to very heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning, at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh during the weekend.
It also warned of a low to moderate flash-flood risk in isolated parts of Sirmaur, Chamba, Shimla, Kullu and Mandi districts in the next 24 hours amid an active monsoon current in the state.
Since 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, Shillaroo recorded the highest rainfall at 86.4 M.M., followed by Baggi (76.6 M.M.), Sundernagar (64.2 M.M.), Mandi (60.2 M.M.), Gohar (57.4 M.M.), Jogindernagar (53 M.M.), Pandoh (50 M.M.), Palampur (48.8 M.M.), Dharamshala (38 M.M.), Kufri (24 M.M.), Kangra (22.6 M.M.), Dhaulakuan (22 M.M.), Narkanda (20 M.M.) and Manali (15 M.M.).
