One more body has been recovered by a deep-diving team of State Disaster Response Force (S.D.R.F.) from a swollen river in Raipur Area of Dehradun, taking the toll caused by rain fury in Uttarakhand since Friday evening to five.
As of now, 13 people are still missing, six in Tehri and seven in Dehradun in the aftermath of heavy showers, officials said, adding that their effort to trace them continues at Gwyar in Jaunpur Block of Tehri Garhwal District and Raipur in Dehradun. Some tourists stuck at a resort in Maldevta of Dehradun were also evacuated by the state rescue teams.
Also, over 200 roads, including the Hrishikesh-Chamba-Dharasu N.H.-94 and the Tanakpur-Champawat-Ghat highways, were blocked in several stretches.
