NAVEEN PATNAIK RESIGNS AS CHIEF MINISTER OF ODISHA

BHUBANESWAR, June 5, 2024 (TBINN)

Marking the end of his 24-year-rule in Odisha, Biju Janta Dal’s supremo Naveen Patnaik today resigned from the post of chief minister after the defeat of his party in Assembly elections of the state.

Naveen Patnaik handed over his resignation letter to Governor Raghubar Das at Raj Bhavan, sources said.

Though a number of B.J.D. leaders gathered at Patnaik’s residence, he came alone to Governor’s house to tender his resignation.
