Preparations are on to laud Lord Shiva on the festival

Maha Shivratri happens to be one of the most auspicious Hindu festivals. This festival of Maha Shivratri is celebrated annually to laud Lord Shiva and symbolizes great night of Lord Shiva.
According to Drik Panchang, it is during Krishna Paksha in the month of Magha. It happens once every year in February or March. It usually comes during the end of Winter and beginning of Spring and Summer.
Convergence takes place at night as Shiva and Shakti are personification of love, power and oneness. This year Maha Shivratri falls on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
