Today on 15 August, Independence Day was celebrated with great pride and achievement at Institute of Technology and Management, Dehradun.
National Tri-Colour was unfurled by College Chairman Nishant Thapliyal on the campus. In his brief address to the gathering, Nishant Thapliyal laid importance on the value of Indepence and the responsibility, with which, we Indians need to handle it for taking nation up to the glory.
Nishant Thapliyal also put light on the role of Higher Education that how it can help build a strong and prosperous India which gained Independence after Supreme sacrifices of many Freedom Fighters.
According to him, the key for taking nation ahead lies in discipline, dedication and determination. This is how, Nishant Thapliyal said, we grow as individuals and collectively grow our nation. Directors, C.E.O., Principal, Registrar, Dean and all H.O.D.s were present alongwith the staff of I.T.M. College to celebrate our Independence Day.
Thereafter, a cultural programme was organized at auditorium of the college, in which, students gave heart-touching performances. Faculty and staff members of I.T.M. Dehradun also shared their views and words from the dais.
Program on Independence Day ended with distribution of sweets and exchange of wishes among all present.
It is pertinent to mention here that I.T.M. Dehradun, under the leadership of its Chairman Nishant Thapliyal, is committed to the cause of making India a Vishva Guru.
