DOG PROVES ITS WORTH IN SOLVING MURDER CASE AT UTTARAKHAND

In a recent case of solving a murder case, a police dog to be the best partner for solving crime by the force in Uttarakhand.

Reportedly, a German Shepherd Kattie in Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar caught the suspect in a murder case registered early this month, in which a 21-year-old man, Shakib Ahmad, was found dead with injury marks on his body.

District Police of Udham Singh Nagar in Uttarakhand has nominated this member of its canine squad for the department’s Best Personnel of the Month Award. The canine certainly deserves this as German Shepherd sniffed out a murder suspect just within 30 seconds of being deployed in the case and assisting cops solve the crime. Body of Shakib Ahmad, aged 21 years, was recovered from a field under Jaspur Police Station. Thereafter, dog was directed to sniff a blood-stained cloth belonging to Shakib that was found a few metres away from his body. The cops, subsequently, asked the suspects, including Shakib’s family members, to stand in a row in front of her for identification parade.

Within 30 seconds of sniffing the cloth, the female canine started barking at Shakib’s cousin Qasim, standing second in the line, suggesting that he is the culprit. Based on her detection, cops interrogated Qasim who broke down and confessed his crime and got arrested.
