CHIEF MINISTER PUSHKAR SINGH MEETS PRIME MINISTER NARENDRA MODI WITH DEMANDS FOR UTTARAKHAND

Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to National Capital.

During the meeting Chief Minister Pushkar Singh apprised P.M. about the efforts Uttarakhand Government is making for grounding of the investment proposals penned down during the recent Global Investors Summit-2023.

Pushkar Singh also informed P.M. about the endeavour of the State government for developing Uttarakhand into a world class wedding destination. Pushkar Singh Dhami also updated Modi about the progress of Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, development of Haridwar-Hrishikesh, Ganga Corridor and extension of air services in the state.

Pushkar Singh said Uttarakhand Government is making the ‘House of Himalayas’ brand more effective so that a better platform to the local artists and products is made available. The brand was inaugurated by P.M. Narender Modi during his last visit to the hill state as an umbrella brand for processing, packaging and branding of local products.

Pushkar Singh requested that additional 400 M.W. of electricity should be allotted to the state from the thermal power stations of the Central pool. He said that new train services should start between Tanakpur- Dehradun, Tanakpur- New Delhi and Dehradun-Haridwar via Ramnagar. Pushkar Singh Dhami also requested that the approval for upgrading Dehradun Airport Jollygrant should be given and regular maintenance of Chinyalisaur Airstrip in Uttarkashi District should be done by the Indian Air Force. The C.M. also requested for approval for the development and construction of hydro power projects in the hill state.

Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister said that the work executive agency should be appointed for transfer of the assets in broadening of Pilibhit- Khatima Highway and the Public Works Department should be made the executive agency for construction of two-lane tunnel to Mussoorie.

Pushkar Singh also demanded that the Tanakpur-Bageshwar Rail Project should be declared as a national project and the Union Government should bear its entire cost of construction. Pushkar Singh also told the P.M. about the roads, power projects and plan for development of new townships in the hill state.

Pushkar Singh also informed about the Uttarakhand State Millet Mission and Mukhyamantri Ghasyari Kalyan Yojana.
