Reportedly, body of a 19-year-old receptionist, Ankita Bhandari, who went missing on the premises of a private resort owned by Bhartiya Janta Party’s leader’s son Pulkit Arya, has been found by the police.
It is reported that the cops found girl’s body near Chilla Power House. Earlier, on Friday, three people, including Pulkit Arya, were arrested in the murder case who confessed that they pushed her into a canal near the resort after a personal dispute, following which she drowned, according to the police.
State’s administration had roped in State Disaster Response Force (S.D.R.F.) to search the body amid public uproar over the 19-year-old’s death. Police had also requested the state government to open the Pashulok Barrage, located on the Ganges River, to help find the body.
Earlier, the culprits were beaten up by the public when the vehicle, in which they were being taken to the court, was stopped by the mob. Police resorted to lathi-charge for carrying them safely to the court.
