West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Samajwadi Party’s head Akhilesh Yadav slammed the “morally defeated” Bhartiya Janta Party today, predicting that the Saffron Party-led government at the Centre would not “last long and would collapse soon.”
Their comments came during T.M.C.’s Martyrs’ Day rally in Kolkata, held six weeks after Lok Sabha elections, where T.M.C. and S.P. achieved significant victories over B.J.P. in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, respectively.
Both, T.M.C. and S.P. are part of Opposition I.N.D.I.A. Bloc nationally.
